Frequently asked questions
Why does 100 Mbps not mean 100 MB each second?
Mbps means megabits per second, while MB means megabytes. Since a byte contains eight bits, the usable file rate in MB/s is much lower.
Why does my drive show less space than the box says?
Manufacturers often use decimal gigabytes. Some systems display binary capacity, which makes the visible number lower without physically removing storage.
Is a calculated download time guaranteed?
No. It assumes a stable rate. Wi-Fi quality, congestion, server limits and other network activity can increase the real duration.
